1st Place Winners!!

Congratulations to Daly and Cecilia at 5020 Unaka Avenue!

They are the 1st Place Winners of the Amity Gardens Neighborhood Halloween Decorations Contest!

They received a $50 gift card to Walmart.

The AG Halloween Sign is currently MIA, so the Yard of the Month was placed in their yard.

“My name is Daly. I have lived in Amity Gardens for a little over 2 years with my sister, Cecilia, and our dog, Ro. Halloween is Cecilia’s favorite holiday, and she loves decorating. If she had it her way, the decorations would be up August 1st and stay up through December. That said, we are beyond excited to have won the decorating contest! We have been so fortunate to live here with such amazing neighbors! Thank you!

P.S. If you miss the cactus that used to dominate our front yard, take a closer look at the gravestones.”

Free TREES……..

We are very excited about partnering with this wonderful organization. Please let us know if you would be interested in attending a casual meeting about the planned tree giveaway in January ahead of the registration dates.

More details to come……….

Clean The Storm Drains….

With possible heavy rains heading our way, Thursday is a great day to make sure the storm drains around your home are cleaned out. It is the responsibility of the homeowners and not the City Of Charlotte to make sure they are clear and ready for the excess rain to properly drain.

Recycling Collection Delays…….

The City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services provides a bi-weekly collection of recyclables curbside through a local vendor. The vendor is experiencing staffing shortages, causing the residential recycling collection to be delayed.

If a missed collection occurs, residents are advised to call 311 to report a missed collection and leave their recycling carts at the curb until collected.

Garbage and yard waste collection services are operating without delay on a normal schedule.
