We actually have a little history in this neighborhood….

Our grandparents built this house in 1956 after getting married and raised my mom here. I grew up down the street at 4926 Unaka until my parents moved out to Weddington in 2002 when all the Independence construction started. I can remember as a kid sitting on the hill by Haverty’s (where the Walmart parking lot is now) to watch the fireworks for the 4th of July. It really was a prime seat without even having to drive anywhere! I convinced my mother to keep our grandparents house after they passed and rent it instead of selling it. Fast forward 15 years later and I was able to move back into the neighborhood. We’ve been here for 2 years and love it!
