Larry & Jo Ann Henderson – Dudley Drive
I moved to Amity Gardens in 1961 as a senior and drove to Myers Park High School. After college. marriage, and the death of my parents, Larry and I moved back here in 1970. Our 2 children, Amy (1972) and David (1976) grew up in the neighborhood and went to assigned schools. We have met many good friends through the years.
We both retired after 30 years of teaching. We love our neighborhood for it’s convenience to church, schools, shopping and for the beauty of the trees and flowers in the spring and fall. (One of the reasons that my parents chose this home was because the city bus stopped across the street and my Mother rode it to work.)
We must give credit for the yard and flowers to our son’s commercial landscaping company, Outdoor Images. (We are his only yard.)
On August 14th Larry and I celebrated our 50th wedding Anniversary. – Jo Ann Henderson
